Truth Ofori Calls on Leaders to Combat Galamsey at Tidal Rave 2024 Concert
Truth Ofori, the 2nd runner-up of TV3’s Talented Kidz Season 15, made a powerful appeal to Ghana’s leaders to address the galamsey crisis during the Tidal Rave concert held on October 12, 2024, at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
The event featured several notable performances, including one by Black Sherif, who paused his set to allow Truth Ofori to deliver a live rendition of the patriotic song “Yɛn Ara Asase Ni.” This performance served as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for action against illegal mining activities in the country.
Excerpts from the song, which translates to “This is our homeland. It is priceless to us. Our forefathers gained it for us at the peril of their lives. It is our turn to continue the legacy,” resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing the call for leaders to take decisive action against galamsey.

In addition to Truth Ofori’s performance, Stonebwoy also addressed the galamsey issue during his set, singing his patriotic song “Greedy Men” while dressed in black attire, with a backing vocalist waving the Ghana flag.
