DopeNation and Kuami Eugene spat online after leaving Lynx Entertainment
Following their separate departures from their previous record labels, musicians and former signees of the Lynx Entertainment label, DopeNation and Kuami Eugene, have started a social media dispute.
The internet dispute started in 2021 when Kuami Eugene expressed his satisfaction that DopeNation had departed the label, saying it gave him a chance to acquire sufficient cash.
However, after Richie Mensah, the head of Lynx, revealed in a recent interview that Kuami Eugene was no longer signed to the record company, DopeNation later took to social media to make fun of Eugene.
DopeNation stated on social media on January 27, 2025, that existing signees would also profit from the scarce resources that Kuami Eugene was battling for since he had left the company.
”Now let’s see how you handle the ‘Lynx curse’. One person is now the intended recipient of what was intended for four. “@KuamiEugene, we wish you well,” they said.
Kuami Eugene apparently did not like the DopeNation post, and he went on social media to vent as well, calling the tracks “gym songs.”
”You should wait if you want to release another gym song to get attention. On my birthday, on Saturday, I’m launching a classic for those who appreciate good music. After that, I’ll find some time, okay? He responded.
Let’s see how you carry the so called “lynx
curse” now. what was meant for four people
is now for one person.
We wish you well. @KuamiEugene
