Lawyer Kusi made the information known in an interview with Kwame Tanko on Lawson FM, following the court’s verdict.
The lawyer has said that there is no iota of truth in reports that Lumba’s funeral comes off on December 13, hence, such reports should be kept in the bin.
In his elaboration, Lawyer Kusi said that the Abusuapanin has no right or power over the dead body of the late musician, but instead, the old women in the family of Daddy Lumba.
He explained that, the only thing expected of the Abusuapanin is that, after the old women in the family have come to a consensus on when they want the funeral to be done, then, they inform the Abusuapanin so that with togetherness, they bury him.
However, Lawyer Kusi claims the Abusuapanin has taken things into his own hands and wants to bury the late musician, even though all the other family members are not in support.
After numerous family meetings, Lawyer Kusi has said that the family slated March 14 as the day they would bury the late musician.
“The funeral is on March 14. The family has said that it is March 14. The family has never decided on 13 December. The Abusapanin is not the only family. When the expert came to the court, he explained that it is the old women in the family who come together to give a date for the funeral. And not the Abusuapanin. We called the expert and he came to court but the judge was silent on that”, he said.
He added that “Lumba’s sister, uncle, aunty, grandfather, nephews, and more have stated that they will not allow the Abusuapanin to bury Lumba on December 13”.
