About Ghana Songs

Ghana Songs (ghanasong.org) is a Ghanaian music website publishing from Accra since 2012. We cover new Ghanaian songs and videos, concerts and events, and the news coming from the artists themselves, from the biggest names in hiplife, Afrobeats, highlife, gospel and dancehall to the new talents coming up from Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale and across the country.

The site was founded by Bright Dwomoh, a music promoter and digital publisher with more than ten years in the Ghanaian music space, and is published by Multimedia Songs Ghana Limited, a company incorporated in Accra in 2020. Ghana Songs also runs the Ghana Songs TV channel on YouTube and the GhanaSongs.com Facebook page.

How we report

Our newsdesk writes release stories, event previews and recaps, and reports on what artists say on their own Instagram, X and Facebook accounts. Every story is checked against the artist’s official channels, label or management before it goes up, and we say where a claim comes from. We embed the official audio or video from the artist’s own channel and use the official cover art and the artist’s own event pictures. We do not publish rumours, and when we get something wrong we correct it on the page and say so.

Music on Ghana Songs

Song pages link to the official stream on Apple Music, Spotify, Audiomack, Boomplay and YouTube so that artists are paid for their work. Our New Ghana Songs This Week page updates itself as releases land, and our Top Ghanaian Songs chart is refreshed every month from Shazam and Apple Music data for Ghana.
