King Promise Announces New Single ‘Melody’

King Promise has confirmed that a new single titled “Melody” is on the way. The Ghanaian singer has spent the past few days teasing the song on Instagram, and he has now put a firm date on it.

In a post shared on Sunday, 19 October, he wrote that his “first single of the year drops Friday 23rd!”, adding that things are “about to get steamy”.

When will King Promise’s Melody be released?

According to the singer’s own posts, “Melody” will be released on Friday, 23 October 2026. He first named the song on 17 October, telling fans it would arrive “next Friday”, and he repeated the date in two more posts over the weekend.

So far, he has not announced a featured artist, a producer or a music video for the record, so for now fans should treat it as a solo release.

What we have heard so far

King Promise has been sharing short clips of the song. One snippet carries the line “Your body sweet pass”, while the catchy “la la lala lo” hook keeps showing up in his captions, written as “wobɛti la lala lala lo”.

The teasers point to a love song in the smooth Afrobeats style his fans know him for. Earlier this month he also hinted at a busy end to the year, posting “Last quarter. Let the games begin” on 8 October. “Melody” looks like the first move of that final quarter.

King Promise’s recent run

The singer has stayed busy with collaborations this year. He linked up with Mr Eazi on several records, including “Mariana” and “Criminal”, and he also featured on Kojo Blak’s “Mon Bebe”.

A solo single now gives him the chance to lead from the front again as the year winds down, and with the countdown already running on his page, Friday cannot come soon enough for his supporters.
