Stonebwoy Supports Black Challenge Ahead of Amputee World Cup in Mexico

Stonebwoy has shown love to Ghana’s national amputee football team, the Black Challenge, as the players prepare for the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, 25 October, the BHIM Nation president shared photos of himself walking and chatting with members of the team on a football pitch. He wrote that he was “honoured” to spend a brief moment with his “brothers” and that he had contributed to the welfare of the athletes as they get ready for the tournament.

He did not say what form his support took or how much it was worth.

Stonebwoy urges Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Challenge

The Afro-dancehall star used the post to call on the country to stand with the team. He asked Ghanaians to rally behind the players with full support as they represent Ghana on the world stage, adding that they deserve to know the whole nation is with them every step of the way.

He ended the caption with “Black Challenge!!! Champions of Africa!!!” and the hashtags #BlackChallenge, #SupportTheBlackChallenge and #GhanaToTheWorld.

Black Challenge at the 2026 Amputee World Cup

The Black Challenge will compete at the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) World Cup in Mexico. According to the Ghana News Agency, Ghana was drawn in Group D alongside Colombia, Iraq and Angola when the draw was held in September.

MyJoyOnline reported that head coach Richard Obeng’s squad had been training at the University of Ghana, with plans to camp in Turkey before moving on to Mexico for the tournament.

A busy season for Stonebwoy

The gesture comes in the middle of a busy period for the singer. Earlier this week he announced BHIM Festival 2026, which is set for the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon on 24 December 2026, after taking the festival to London in August.
