Wendy Shay – This & That (ft. Sarkodie) (Official Video)
Wendy Shay This & That, the new single from Wendy Shay and Sarkodie, stood at number 53 on the Shazam Top 200 Ghana chart on 7 November 2026. The song came out on Friday 6 November 2026, so it made the chart within a day of release.

Shazam counts how often people use the app to identify a song they have heard. A position that early shows listeners were already trying to find out what was playing around them, whether in a car, a shop or at a party.
The single is an Afrobeats record that pairs Wendy Shay with Sarkodie. It is released through Rufftown Records, with an exclusive licence to ONErpm. The track is available on the streaming stores, including Apple Music.
A Wendy Shay and Sarkodie pairing gets Ghanaian timelines talking. Both names carry weight with local listeners, and a shared song gives fans a reason to replay it more than once. My own reaction is that a chart entry on day one suggests the interest is real, although one day of data can only say so much.
This is the second collaboration from Wendy Shay in a matter of weeks. On 25 September 2026 she teamed up with Lasmid for Bendova. Six weeks later she is back with Sarkodie, which means two shared microphones in one busy autumn.
Two features in quick succession also say something about where she is in her career. She has chosen to work with other well-known Ghanaian voices rather than carry every release alone, and the two songs arrive close enough together to keep her name in regular rotation.
The pairing also puts two different generations of Ghanaian pop in one song, at least in terms of the names fans know. That is my observation and not a claim about either artist’s career, but it is the kind of meeting that tends to bring listeners from more than one camp to the same track.
Some background on the singer. Wendy Asiamah Addo was born on 20 February 1996 in Accra, which makes her 30 years old. Her parents are from Obo, Kwahu, in the Eastern Region. She lost her father when she was four years old, and the family later moved to Stuttgart, Germany, where she grew up with her three siblings.
Music was already part of her life by then. Her interest began at the age of four, and she attended a music school in Germany. She continued her schooling there from grade 7, after earlier studies at Morning Star School and St Martin de Porres in Accra.
Her path was not a straight line into the studio. Wendy Shay trained as a nurse and worked as a midwife in the clinical field. She then moved to Ghana to chase her musical dreams.
That move led her to Mohit Records. Its manager, Bullet, introduced her to the industry, and she signed in January 2018. The deal came after the untimely death of her label mate Ebony.
Her standing has been recognised off the stage too. In March 2021 the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch named her among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music.
She is also busy away from the studio. Wendy Shay recently announced Shay Concert 2026 at West Hills Mall, so fans have a live date to look forward to as the new single circulates. The Sarkodie collaboration may well earn a place in the setlist that night.

Fans who followed Bendova with Lasmid in September can line the two songs up in a single playlist and compare how she handles each partnership. The first is a link-up with Lasmid and the second a link-up with Sarkodie, and hearing them back to back is an easy way to judge her range as a collaborator.
