King Promise Releases New Single ‘Melody’
King Promise’s new single “Melody” is finally here. The song, which the Ghanaian singer described as his first single of the year, is now available on streaming platforms after a week of countdown posts on his social media pages.
The track runs for just over three minutes and is listed as a solo single on Apple Music under Afro-Pop. It comes three days after we reported that King Promise had announced “Melody” and fixed a Friday release.
When was King Promise’s ‘Melody’ released?
“Melody” was released on Friday, 23 October 2026. King Promise confirmed the date on X on 19 October, writing that his “first single of the year drops Friday 23rd!” and adding that it was “about to get steamy”.
On Thursday afternoon he followed up with another post that read “‘MELODY’ szn. See you at Midnight”, telling fans the song would land as soon as the clock struck twelve.
How King Promise built up to the release
The rollout started on 15 October, when he pinned a countdown post to the top of his X page and asked fans to quote it with a green heart if they were ready. Since then, the “la la lala lo” line from the song has kept popping up in his captions.
Some fans could not hide their impatience. When one supporter replied on 21 October begging him to drop the song as soon as possible, King Promise answered that he was “loading” and promised “Friday we live”.
So far, his posts have not named a producer or a featured act, and no music video has been announced.
What else King Promise has been up to
A solo single puts King Promise back in front after a run of collaborations. He has worked with Mr Eazi on records such as “Mariana” and “Criminal”, and he also featured on Kojo Blak’s “Mon Bebe”.
With the last quarter of the year under way and the December season approaching, “Melody” gives his fans something fresh to play in the weeks ahead. The big question now is how quickly it climbs the local charts.
