Obaapa Christy to Join Noble Nketsiah’s 25 Years in Ministry Celebration

Gospel singer Rev. Obaapa Christy has said she will be at Noble Nketsiah’s 25th anniversary in ministry celebration this weekend. In a post on her official Facebook page, she called on fans to come out and support her “brother”.

Obaapa Christy wrote that when Noble Nketsiah calls, she must “set everything aside and honour his invitation”. She described him as a great brother and pointed out that he is one of the main judges on her Sing Like Obaapa (SLOPA) talent show.

Noble @ 25: date, venue and what to expect

According to the post, the celebration, titled NOBLE @ 25: Celebrating 25 Years in Ministry, takes place on Sunday, 25 October 2026 at ICGC Calvary Temple, Spintex Hills in Accra. Time is 5:00 PM prompt.

The Wayɛ Bi singer urged gospel lovers to “make this anniversary a glorious and unforgettable celebration” and ended with a simple “See you there!” She did not list the other ministers billed for the night.

Who is Noble Nketsiah?

Noble Nketsiah is a well-known name in Ghana’s gospel scene. His song Yesu Wo Do is one of his best-known works, and he has spoken in interviews about how the song changed his life. He has also hosted his own Worship Beyond Worship programme in Accra.

His link with Obaapa Christy goes beyond friendship. As one of the main judges on SLOPA, the singing competition Obaapa Christy runs to find new gospel voices, he is part of the team behind one of her biggest projects.

A busy season for Obaapa Christy

The appearance adds to a full year for Obaapa Christy. Her thanksgiving song Wayɛ Bi (He Has Done Well) was announced for release on 29 June. In August, she took her Royal Praise event to two cities for the first time, with editions at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra and the Church of Pentecost, Bantama, in Kumasi. The Ghana News Agency reported that she has set her sights on a bigger 2027 edition.

Her music also features on our list of the best Ghana gospel songs. The gospel calendar is also filling up fast, with Nacee’s KAVOD 26 and Piesie Esther’s Flora Made By Grace 2026 both coming up.
