Sarkodie Asks Fans What Time Rapperholic Kumasi Should End

Sarkodie has turned to his fans on X to settle one question: what time should Rapperholic Kumasi end?

In a post on Thursday morning, 29 October, the rapper reminded followers that he has complained before about events closing too late. He said that while he was in Kumasi, many fans told him he could not do that in the Garden City, and that the show should run until at least 5am.

Sarkodie said he wanted to “settle this”, adding that “regardless I will do as the fans say”. He then put the question straight to them: what time is best to close Rapperholic in Kumasi?

What fans told Sarkodie

The post drew more than 320,000 views and hundreds of replies within a day, and the answers were all over the place. Some fans pushed for a daytime show, with one suggesting a 4pm start and an 11pm finish so they could enjoy a concert after sunset. Others went the opposite way and proposed 7am or 7:30am, with one fan saying the later time was “for the sake of our safety”.

Later in the day, Sarkodie quoted a fan who insisted Kumasi patrons had never asked him to close early and said he should leave “when the last man leaves”. Sarkodie’s reply was a simple “Smh” with a string of emojis.

Why closing time matters to Sarkodie

This is not the first time Sarkodie has raised the issue. Earlier this year, he publicly appealed to event organisers to put him on stage earlier. MyJoyOnline also reported him saying “my energy dies after 1am” when speaking about long concert nights outside Accra.

His latest post comes less than a week after Rapperholic returned to Kumasi on Saturday, 24 October. Ahead of the show, VIP tickets for Rapperholic Kumasi 2026 sold out. After the night, Sarkodie posted a thank-you message to SarkNation and called for more investment in the creative economy.

Sarkodie has not said when the next Kumasi edition will happen or how the poll will change the programme. For now, the fans have the floor.
