Empress Gifty Asks Fans to Vote for Her at Sacred Crown Awards 2026

Gospel musician Empress Gifty has called on her fans to vote for her at the maiden Sacred Crown Awards, which hold this Saturday, 31 October 2026, in Accra.

In a post on her official Facebook page this week, the singer wrote, “Please let’s win the Outstanding Woman In Gospel Ministry”, naming the category she is contesting at the awards. She asked supporters to dial *447*714# and select code SC241 to cast their votes for her.

Sacred Crown Awards 2026: date, venue and what to expect

The Sacred Crown Awards is an initiative of the Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II. Organisers unveiled the nominees in August, and this year’s edition is the first.

According to the official event flyer, the ceremony takes place at The Dome of the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel from 4pm, under the theme “Celebrating African Heritage, Spirituality & Wellness”. Guests have been asked to come in “Royal African Elegance”. Organisers have also said the winner of the top honour, the Sacred Crown Supreme Laureate, will only be revealed on the night. Rapper Medikal is among the acts billed to perform, as we reported earlier this week.

Empress Gifty has not said who else is nominated in her category, and the organisers have not announced when voting closes.

Sunsum Ndwom challenge keeps fans busy

The awards push comes as the singer promotes her latest song, Sunsum Ndwom. The official video went up on her YouTube channel on 6 October 2026, and she has now opened a Sunsum Ndwom challenge on Facebook, telling fans to drop their videos singing along.

She also took time earlier this week to thank everyone who celebrated her birthday, saying she was deeply grateful to fans who made time to send their wishes.

Not her first brush with awards

Empress Gifty is no stranger to honours. She was named Ghana’s Outstanding Entertainer of the Year in 2025, and she remains one of the busiest names in Ghanaian gospel music, with several of her songs among the most loved gospel records in the country.

Whether her fans can carry her to the Outstanding Woman In Gospel Ministry award will be known on Saturday night.
