M.anifest – Road Rage (ft. Black Sherif)

M.anifest and Black Sherif share one song as equal partners, and M.anifest Road Rage is out from Thursday 29 October 2026. The single is already on the Ghanaian rapper’s official YouTube channel.

The release is a lyric video for “Road Rage”, posted under the name M.anifest x Black Sherif. The song comes through Mass Appeal and Singitdamnit Music, and the upload carries a 2026 notice from both. A streaming link sits on the YouTube page, so listeners can take the song to their usual platform and add it to a playlist.

Our readers have been waiting for this one. We first told you about the plan in M.anifest and Black Sherif Team Up on New Single, Out This Thursday, and the song has now landed on the day promised.

For anyone who needs a quick reminder, M.anifest is Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, born on 20 November 1982. He is a Ghanaian musician, rapper and record producer. At the 2017 Ghana Music Awards he won Best Rapper and Hip-Hop Song of the Year.

His list of collaborators reaches well beyond Ghana. He has worked with Damon Albarn, Flea, Tony Allen and Erykah Badu, and he appears on five songs on the Rocket Juice and The Moon album. Music runs in the family too. His maternal grandfather, J. H. Kwabena Nketia, was one of Africa’s foremost ethnomusicologists and composers.

His parents come from the law and the church. His father is the lawyer and academic Tsatsu Tsikata, and his mother, Rev. Dr. Priscilla Naana Nketia, is a lawyer and pastor. In 2001 he moved to the United States to attend Macalester College.

The recognition came early and from far away. In 2012 The Strand on BBC Radio tipped him as one of four acts to look out for. In 2015 his single “Someway Bi” took third place at the International Songwriters Competition. The same year The Guardian called him the foremost rapper on the continent. He divides his time between Madina in Ghana and Minneapolis in the United States.

Black Sherif is the second name on the song, and the pairing is an interesting one. M.anifest has long built his reputation on sharp, thoughtful rap, while Black Sherif is a voice many young Ghanaian listeners know well. Putting them on one record is the kind of move that gets people talking in group chats, and that is my own reaction rather than a fact about the song.

This is the latest step in a busy year for M.anifest. On 22 June he shared “No More Sleep” with Kwesi Arthur. On 17 July he put out “Handkerchief”, which arrived on YouTube alongside an audio version. In September he followed with “ON TEN”, a song with O’Kenneth and wavypae, and on 3 October another upload featuring the same two artists appeared on his channel.

That run shows a rapper who likes to work with other voices. Kwesi Arthur, O’Kenneth, wavypae and now Black Sherif each bring a different energy, and M.anifest has made room for all of them. “Road Rage” continues that pattern, and it puts two strong rappers on the same track.

The song sits in the hip-hop lane, so expect a rap-led record in which the verses carry the weight. Because the video is a lyric visual, the words stay on screen while the vocals play. That suits two artists who are known for what they say as much as how they say it, and it lets you follow every bar on a first listen.
