Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale’s ‘Sweet’ Is Out Now

Kumasi rapper Kweku Flick has finally released Sweet, his new single featuring dancehall star Shatta Wale, and he is already talking up the reaction.

The song landed on streaming platforms on Wednesday night, right on the date Kweku Flick had promised when he first announced the collaboration earlier in the week. He shared an Audiomack link on X with a simple caption, “Sweet!!!”, before following up with a full streaming link the next day.

Kweku Flick: “It was a statement”

On Thursday, 22 October, Kweku Flick posted again on X about the record. He wrote that working with Shatta Wale “was never just a feature. It was a statement,” adding that the response so far was speaking for itself. He described Shatta Wale as “THE AFRICAN KING” and confirmed that Sweet is out worldwide.

Fans on X have been pushing the song since it dropped, with several posts singling out Shatta Wale’s verse and urging others to stream it.

The official cover art shows the word “Sweet” in glossy red, lollipop-style letters, dripping like syrup, with ants crawling all over it. Both artistes’ names sit underneath.

A nod to Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Kumasi

In another post on Wednesday night, Kweku Flick tagged Sarkodie and wrote that “#RapperholicKumasi26 will be Sweet!!”, telling them to get ready. He did not say whether he is billed to perform at the concert. Sarkodie is already in the Garden City ahead of Rapperholic Kumasi 2026.

When was Kweku Flick’s Sweet released?

Sweet by Kweku Flick featuring Shatta Wale was released on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, and is available on Audiomack and other digital platforms through the artiste’s official streaming link. When he announced the song, Kweku Flick tagged producer Khendi Beatz.

Not their first link-up

The two have history. Both appeared on Shatta Wale’s Ahodwo Las Vegas, and Kweku Flick has spoken in past interviews about what he learnt from the Shatta Movement boss about the business side of music. Kweku Flick’s last solo single was Frango, and he also featured on Sarkodie’s Odo Pa.

For Shatta Wale, Sweet comes just days after he headlined ShattaFest 2026 and thanked fans after the show, insisting he did not come to compete with anybody.
