KAVOD 26: Nacee’s Ajagurajah Skit Gets Fans Talking as Show Hits the National Theatre

Nacee’s KAVOD 26 comes off on Sunday, 8 November, at the National Theatre in Accra, and the gospel singer has used the final days of the build-up to lean into the comedy side of the show. On Saturday, he reminded fans on Instagram that gates open at exactly 5pm, adding: “Please do not be late.”

Nacee Vs Ajagurajah: the promo fans are talking about

Earlier in the week, Nacee shared a comic video titled Nacee Vs Ajagurajah. In it, he goes to invite Ajagurajah to KAVOD 26, but, as the caption puts it, Ajagurajah “has other plans as well”. The clip also works as an advert for a fashion brand’s limited edition shoe and watch, and Nacee says it is a series that will keep unfolding.

The post has pulled more than 13,000 likes and over 660 comments on his Instagram page. Ajagurajah is a familiar face on Ghanaian social media, especially through his TikTok lives, which explains why the pairing caught people’s attention. The video is a scripted skit for the show, not a real disagreement between the two.

A day later, Nacee answered fans who wanted to know who shot it, crediting director Kennayiah and sharing behind-the-scenes footage. He has also been delivering personal invitations, with Gossips24 Studios among those who said they had received his invite to the KAVOD experience.

KAVOD 26: time, venue and line-up

KAVOD 26 starts at 5:00 PM at the National Theatre. When Nacee first announced the show, his flyer listed Standard tickets at GHS 200 and VIP at GHS 300, and described the night as a blend of laughter, drama and music.

As we reported in the full KAVOD 26 line-up, MyJoyOnline named Joe Mettle, Cindy Thompson, Kofi Peprah, Yvonne Mends and Soul Winners on the music side. The theatre segment features names such as Clemento Suarez, Foster Romanus, Jeneral Ntatia and Killer Ntua, while comedians on the bill include Jacinta, Parrot Mouth and Jeffrey Nortey.

The first KAVOD, held at the same venue in November 2023, mixed gospel music with stage drama, and Clemento Suarez and Foster Romanus are back again this year. Joe Mettle, meanwhile, has another big date coming up, with Potters Praise 2026 set for 22 November.
