Shatta Wale – One More Year

Shatta Wale is back with new music, and Shatta Wale One More Year has already found a place on the Shazam Top 200 Ghana chart. The single stood at number 31 on 27 October 2026, a little over two weeks after it came out.

The song was released on 11 October 2026 through SHATTA MOVEMENT RECORDS, the label run under the SM4LYF banner. An audio slide version followed on his official YouTube channel on 12 October. Shatta Wale is the only artist on the track.

The single landed six days before his 42nd birthday. Shatta Wale was born on 17 October 1984.

The release leans towards Afro-pop, from an artist who built his name on reggae and dancehall. That mix has been a regular part of his catalogue in recent years. It keeps him close to the sound that dominates Ghanaian playlists, taxis and nightspots from Accra to Kumasi.

A chart place within weeks matters. The Shazam Top 200 Ghana chart tracks the songs people are identifying on their phones. A position of 31 suggests listeners are hearing the record out and about and want to know what it is.

Shatta Wale has been busy in recent weeks. His most recent upload before this single was the official video for "Men Dey", which arrived on 7 October 2026. The audio for the same song had been uploaded on 15 September.

Before that came the official video for "Count Of Monte Cristo" on 27 September. The official video for "Spiritual School" followed a few days earlier, on 24 September, after its audio slide version appeared on 15 September.

The audio slide for "Heat" also went up on 15 September. Taken together, that is a steady run of songs and visuals across a single month, the kind of output his supporters in the Shatta Movement have come to expect. Fans who want to catch up on another recent project can also read about Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale’s "Sweet".

Shatta Wale was born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. in Korle Gonno, Accra, and he began his career under the stage name Bandana. His 2004 track "Bandana from Ghana" was a hit, and his 2004 recording "Moko Hoo" was nominated for a Ghana Music Award.

His profile rose sharply at the 2013 VGMA awards, when he criticised the organisers, saying he had been robbed of the Dancehall Artist of the Year award. The VGMA is now known as the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Since then he has remained one of the most talked-about names in Ghanaian music.

Where to watch and stream Shatta Wale One More Year

The audio slide for Shatta Wale One More Year is on the official Shatta Wale YouTube channel, which is managed by SM4LYF. Watching there is the best way to support the release and to hear the song as the label intended. The upload is a slide version, so the focus is on the music rather than a full story video.

The channel asks that the upload is not copied to other YouTube channels. Fans can also search for the song on their usual streaming services and on Shazam, where the chart position shows how many people are already tuning in.

For bookings, the Shatta Movement team has a public email address on the channel page. Promoters and event organisers can use it to reach the camp directly.

So far the response has been measured in chart movement rather than in headline numbers, which is fair for a song only weeks old. If the climb continues, a full official video would be a natural next step.

The single is out, the audio slide is live, and Shatta Wale One More Year is ready to be streamed. Ghana Song will carry more news on his next release.
