Kweku Flick Offers $100 to Fans Who Can Sing Shatta Wale’s ‘Sweet’ Verse

Kumasi rapper Kweku Flick is offering $100 to fans who can sing Shatta Wale’s verse on their new song, Sweet, word for word.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, 29 October, he described Shatta Wale’s part as “the only commercial verse that gets everyone talking” and said he appreciated the dancehall star a lot. He then told fans who know the verse by heart to sing along and “grab that $100”, sharing the song’s streaming link with the post. He did not explain in the post how entries will be judged or how the winner will be picked.

Later the same day, he shared another clip of the song with the caption “Video of the year”.

Kweku Flick confirms Rapperholic Kumasi performance

The challenge comes days after Kweku Flick took Sweet to the stage at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Kumasi 2026, held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, 24 October. When we reported the song’s release, he had only teased that the concert “will be Sweet” without saying whether he was on the bill.

On Sunday he cleared that up. He wrote on Facebook that he performed at Rapperholic and “woke up as Michael Jackson”, before joking that the song is a hit but “the dancing is still under investigation”. He urged fans to keep streaming the record. You can read more about how the night went in our piece on Sarkodie’s thank-you message after Rapperholic Kumasi.

When was Kweku Flick and Shatta Wale’s Sweet released?

Sweet was released on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, with production credited to Khendi Beats. A visualizer followed on YouTube on Saturday, 24 October, the same day as the Kumasi concert.

Since then, much of the talk around the song has centred on Shatta Wale’s verse, which fans have been praising in the comments under Kweku Flick’s posts. The rapper first announced the collaboration earlier in the month, and the two have worked together before on Shatta Wale’s Ahodwo Las Vegas.

With the $100 challenge now running, expect more fans to try their hand at the verse in the coming days.
