Shatta Wale – Gborgborvi (Official Video)

Shatta Wale Gborgborvi now has an official video, and the Ghanaian star put it on his YouTube channel on 29 October 2026. The visuals arrive a little over two months after the song itself came out on 24 August 2026.

The track also carries the name Small God. It was released under Shatta Movement Records, the label run under the SM4LYF banner, and the video was directed by AfroCulture.

Shatta Wale is the only artist on the record, so the whole song and the whole screen belong to the man from Korle Gonno.

The clip follows a busy run of uploads on his channel. Shatta Wale has kept the content coming almost every week this autumn, and fans have had little time to catch their breath between drops.

On 12 October he shared the audio slide for One More Year. You can read about it in our post on Shatta Wale’s One More Year. Five days earlier, on 7 October, he put out the official video for Men Dey.

Before that came the official video for Count Of Monte Cristo on 27 September. Spiritual School got its official video on 24 September, after its audio slide and an earlier upload of Men Dey went up on 15 September.

Gborgborvi now joins that list as the newest official video on the channel. Six uploads in about six weeks, followed by this one, make for a heavy schedule even by his standards.

Shatta Wale was born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. on 17 October 1984 at the Police Hospital in Accra. His father, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr, is a politician, businessman and legal practitioner, and his mother is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. The family connection to Korle Gonno, the Accra neighbourhood he comes from, is something he has carried into his music name and his image.

He went to Seven Great Princes Academy in Dansoman and later to Winneba Secondary School. At the academy he acted in the drama series By the Fireside at the National Theatre of Ghana. At the start of his career he was known as Doggy.

He then began his music career as Bandana after leaving senior high school. In 2004 he released the hit “Bandana from Ghana”, and the same year his recording “Moko Hoo” earned a nomination at the Ghana Music Awards.

His profile rose sharply at the 2013 VGMA awards, now called the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. He publicly criticised the organisers and said he had been robbed of the Dancehall Artist of the Year award. In my view it remains one of the most talked about moments in the story of Ghanaian music awards.

He is a reggae-dancehall artist, and that is where most of his reputation was built. To my ear, Gborgborvi leans closer to Afro-pop than to straight dancehall. The video gives a good look at where he is now.

The song has been available since August, so many fans already know it well. The official video gives them something new to attach to it, and it gives newcomers an easy way in.

AfroCulture handled the direction. The video is released by Shatta Movement Empire, which holds the 2026 copyright and does not allow anyone to re-upload it to another YouTube channel. The channel is managed by SM4LYF.

Watch and stream Shatta Wale Gborgborvi

The official video of Shatta Wale Gborgborvi is on Shatta Wale’s official YouTube channel under the name SHATTA WALE – GBORGBORVI (OFFICIAL VIDEO). Watching it there is the best way to support the artist, because views on the official upload count towards his channel.

Fans who prefer to listen can search for the song under the Small God name on their usual streaming platforms. Many people who type Shatta Wale Gborgborvi audio into Google are looking for exactly that, so it helps to know the song carries two names.

Spelling is another point of confusion. Some fans search for the song as Gborgborvor, but the spelling on the official upload is Gborgborvi. Using it makes the right upload easier to find, and it keeps you away from re-uploads that the label does not approve.

The channel also carries the earlier videos mentioned above, so a visit to watch Gborgborvi is a good moment to catch up on Men Dey, Spiritual School and Count Of Monte Cristo. Together they give a fair picture of what Shatta Wale has been doing since September.

For bookings, the contact on the channel is shattamovement@yahoo.com. The channel also points fans to the artist’s official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.

Watch the video, stream the song and tell us what you think. If Shatta Wale keeps up his current pace, the next release may not be far away, and we will report it here when it lands.
